As a Senior Program Officer, you will operate with limited direction to lead a team of Case Managers within the client. You are the bridge between complex legislation and real-world program administration, ensuring your team delivers accurate, evidence-based results while maintaining high-level stakeholder relationships.
Job Responsibility:
Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of Case Managers
take responsibility for the team’s output and professional development
Oversee daily operations, provide quality assurance for info requests, and handle escalated/complex policy enquiries
Ensure program administration stays consistent with current legislation and manage program agreements
Prepare high-quality briefs, reports, and correspondence for the Department
Build and maintain productive relationships with internal and external partners
Contribute to broader section planning and reporting processes
Requirements:
Broad understanding of the Australian health system
Strong quantitative and qualitative skills to inform sound, evidence-based decision-making
Expert organisational skills to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines
Exceptional oral and written skills for drafting briefs and leading team collaborations
Ability to think strategically and innovatively to solve problems independently
Candidates must be Australian citizens to be eligible to apply
Hold an active police check or baseline clearance
