The Senior-Level Program/Mission Scheduler performs a variety of scheduling, planning, analysis, and business operations duties in support of the Space Systems Command (SSC) SYD 84 Missile Warning Ground and Integration programs (SYD 84/MT) at LA AFB, CA. You will directly support the System Program Director (SPD) in the development, management, and analysis of a cohesive, consolidated Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) for a portfolio of complex, high-visibility programs.
Job Responsibility
Provide expertise in Microsoft Project to create and integrate multiple diverse schedules and plans into a single, cohesive IMS
Interact with the SFPEO-SN SE&I to ensure alignment to the SFPEO-SN’s overarching missile warning track schedule, providing critical visibility to program leadership
Support analysis to identify critical paths, risks, opportunities, and potential downstream impacts of schedule changes, providing predictive analysis to inform leadership decisions
Integrating, analyzing, and developing (as required) Epoch 1, 2, GMI, and Future Epochs into a consolidated IMS
Developing programmatic IMS elements required to track government milestone events and tasks (i.e., document coordination for major deliverables to align to required submission dates and track to required reviews and approvals)
Requirements
At least 10 equivalent years of experience performing scheduling, planning, and program management activities in the government, federally funded research and development center, or profit / non-profit government support arena
Knowledge of various quantitative techniques used to analyze scheduling data, develop models, interpret results, and brief senior-level DoD leadership
Must be able to work independently, as well as with a team, on time-sensitive high-visibility tasks
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with specialized expertise in Microsoft Project
Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities
Active DoD Secret Clearance (required)
US citizenship (required)
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in math, engineering, business, or the sciences.
