Job Description

The Senior Program Manager is the organizing force managing multiple programs of strategic importance. This role ensures all programs are on track, team members are collaborating effectively and deliverables across multiple teams come together to create best-in-class solutions that exceed expectations and deliver great experiences for end users. The role also helps to gather requirements, create roadmaps, and define processes needed to deliver complex solutions.

Job Responsibility

  • Work with Executives and partner with leaders across the organization to identify programs that will support organization to achieve MINDBODY growth strategies
  • Partner cross-functionally to successfully implement and deliver consistent programs designed to meet the needs of the various groups. Find ways to balance creativity, consistency, and meeting the needs of different leaders and teams
  • Conduct needs analysis, use quantitative and qualitative data to design measurements, evaluate objectives and define scope to successfully execute on deliverables
  • Keep leadership informed of issues, challenges and impacts on program deadlines
  • Create scopes of work for targeted programs
  • Develop and manage schedules, budgets and activities
  • Develop innovative and creative approaches to solve for identified outcomes
  • Acts as a decision maker for routine and process questions for ongoing programs. Elevates problematic areas or questions, working with urgency to solve
  • Leads the planning, delivery, marketing and communication efforts of programs overseen
  • Identify potential risks, manage dependencies and escalate to management in a timely manner with mitigation plans
  • Participate in planning and road mapping activities to identify impact on other cross-functional programs
  • Prioritize deliverables effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple conflicting priorities
  • Identify gaps in processes and recommend continuous process improvements
  • Expose and remove impediments to project success.
  • Manage a portfolio of multiple programs, possibly in various stages of development
  • Own analytics and reporting for the product development program to monitor progress and drive improvement
  • Identify and resolve conflicts, inter-dependencies and program issues quickly and efficiently

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, technical certification or equivalent work experience
  • 4-6 years’ program management experience
  • High level of initiative for excellence, results and process improvement
  • Ability to make judgment calls when dealing with ambiguity
  • Ability to deliver successful programs/change management from conception through business case to implementation, measurement and ongoing management
  • Experience and competence in leading, influencing and coaching others in the absence of direct reporting relationships, especially at senior levels and via remote relationships
  • Ability to quickly build relationships and credibility with leaders
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Project and SharePoint
  • Experience in training others and facilitating meetings
  • Strong presentation and communication skills required
  • Must have a passion at using data to understand and make decisions
  • Strong skills with business intelligence and analytics tools
  • PMP, Agile, P30 or other relevant project or program management certification is highly desirable

  • Support the review of proposals as assigned by the Government. Assist with the following coordination of documentation between functional resources, including but not limited to, financial, management, procurement, engineering, and logistics) and assist with the consolidation of their inputs into common documents, and planning for the accomplishment of various program milestones.
  • Support key acquisition events and reviews as needed, such as: System Requirements Reviews (SRR), Preliminary Design Reviews (PDR), Critical Design Reviews (CDR), Test Readiness Reviews (TRR), Technical Coordination Meetings (TCM), Functional Configuration Audits (FCA), Physical Configuration Audits (PCA), Production Readiness Reviews (PRR), milestone documentation development, and others as applicable.
  • Assist in producing or reviewing products for program office use that include business case analyses, trade-off studies, estimates for program office acquisition and logistics requirements, written requirements documents for planned acquisitions, and acquisition strategies and plans.
  • Provide milestone documentation support for documents defined in DoDI 5000.02 and as tailored by the program office and milestone decision authority. Provide a program assessment for integration of documentation to ensure consistency with program strategy and consistency across all milestone documentation. Provide inputs, draft, coordinate (with the appropriate F-15 Division programs and other Government agencies), adjudicate comments, and produce final versions of coordinated milestone documents and assessments. Develop and collect technical data and inputs for staff summary packages to support coordination and signature of all associated documents for milestone approval.
  • Support the development of contract strategies, Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and the completion of a program risk assessment to document issues impinging on milestone execution.
  • Provide technical support, plan for, coordinate, and participate in integrated program reviews and conferences, including, but not limited to, executive, readiness, technical, budget, design, weapon system, resource, requirement working groups, supportability, and management reviews. Support program briefings and reports by gathering information, preparing charts, presenting briefings, and providing other support as needed. Support shall include the management of the action item process following each review.
