As a 10X Program manager, you will be on high-energy, cross-functional teams that are developing important new products, both instruments and consumables, for our customers. You will partner closely with the technical lead of each program to make sure that the priorities, risks, resources, and schedule are established, managed, and adjusted when necessary. You will use your solid technical background and prioritization skills to guide team conversations about the scope of the work being done and potential paths. Your strong communication skills will keep everyone on the same page and make sure everyone is heard. Of course, as a Program manager by nature, your excellent organizational skills will assure that nothing falls through the cracks or is missed.
Job Responsibility:
Serve as Program manager on 10X teams for hardware, Lead programs and projects, negotiating trade-offs, determining and committing to the right scope, schedule, and budget to deliver business results
Be the primary point of contact for program activities with external contract manufacturers, ensuring effective collaboration, accountability, and delivery.
Work closely with global R&D and New Product Introduction (NPI) teams to drive technical product development from concept to launch
Drive and track all day-to-day program work, making sure that problems are rapidly identified and resolved, applying state-of-the-art Program management tools and techniques to deliver on commitments and requirements
Lead program communications and phase approval reviews, providing clear and concise written and verbal communication to all levels of the program team and stakeholders, and tailoring style to a broad range of audiences and situations
Assess and improve processes for Program Management workflow and communication
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering (mechanical, chemical, electrical), chemistry, or related fields in life science or biomedical engineering
Proven experience involved in multiple new product development projects with a successful track record as the lead project/program manager
Demonstrable experience working with contract manufacturers
Proven success in collaborating with global development teams, specifically across the global time zones and cultures
Concrete cases of stakeholder management working with a diversity of stakeholders to pull together a shared plan
Ability to present and concisely communicate complex technical nuances to various levels of the organization across various countries
Experience paying close attention to detail, supplemented by the ability to call attention to gaps/discrepancies
Nice to have:
Experience developing platforms combining fluidics, optics, and molecular biology
Demonstrated experience in developing multiple new platforms from concept to full-scale operation
PMP Certification
Experience with scientific workflows and techniques not limited to sequencing, imaging, molecular biology, bioinformatics
Hands-on experience with Life Sciences instrumentation
