To ensure the successful execution of Wiring Harness programs, it is essential to secure a dedicated Program Manager with strong bilingual (Korean/English) capability and proven automotive EDS experience.
Job Responsibility:
Lead wiring harness program management activities from RFQ/Quote stage through to End of Production (EOP), ensuring customer requirements and Aptiv internal processes are fully met
Act as the primary customer interface for all program-related matters, securing alignment with OEMs throughout development and production phases
Support development phase in Korea (first 1–2 years), then relocate to Europe (Slovakia or Czech) to manage customer-side program execution and knowledge transfer
Drive knowledge transfer from Korea to EU teams, ensuring Aptiv processes and Hyundai development/launch know-how are consistently applied
Manage cross-functional teams (Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Finance, Supply Chain) to deliver flawless program launches
Collaborate closely with Operational Project Leaders (OPLs) at manufacturing plants (Serbia, Tunisia, Czech Republic, Slovakia) to ensure smooth production ramp-up and launch readiness
Oversee program timing, cost, quality, and delivery performance, proactively identifying risks and driving countermeasures
Ensure travel flexibility (up to 100%) to Aptiv manufacturing locations and OEM sites as required
Provide regular status updates and program reviews to executive management and global stakeholders
Mentor and support local teams in building program management competencies and best practices
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field
15+ years of experience in Program Management within the Automotive / Wiring Harness industry
Proven track record in managing complex, global automotive programs from RFQ through SOP/EOP
Strong knowledge of OEM program development and launch processes, preferably with Hyundai/Kia program experience
Deep understanding of Aptiv (or Tier-1 automotive supplier) internal processes is a strong advantage
Excellent bilingual communication skills (Korean and English), both written and spoken
Strong leadership in cross-functional, multicultural teams, with the ability to influence without direct authority
High flexibility for frequent international travel (up to 100%) to customer and manufacturing locations
Strong skills in program planning, risk management, cost control, and customer communication
Proficiency in project management tools
Ability to adapt quickly, solve problems under pressure, and drive results in a fast-paced environment
