BAE Systems is seeking an experienced program finance analyst to join the Controls & Avionics Solutions (CAS), Air Transport (AT) product line team. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate forecasts and program financial analysis for all programs within the assigned program area.
Job Responsibility:
Supporting weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting requirements both internally and externally
Reporting & presenting financials to management
Serving as a full business partner to the cross functional program team
Working with the contracts function for funding, billings, and other contractual items
Developing and monitoring program risks and opportunities
Developing financial forecasts (QBRs and IBPs) and analyzing estimates at completion (EACs)
Program review support including financial summaries and CSRs
Significant program team contributor. Coordinating team meetings and reviews
Ensure compliance to internal controls while seeking out opportunities for continuous improvement
Proposal support as needed
Requirements:
A bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (or related business discipline) is required
4+ years of professional, relevant work experience is required. (2+ years of experience and a Master's degree would be considered, alternatively)
Prior experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) is required
Prior experience with Oracle and Hyperion is strongly preferred
Nice to have:
Experience in program finance and/or other finance functional disciplines
Must be able to lead teams to help improve business processes
Be self-motivated with a bias for action, process/results oriented
Experience with project forecasting and analysis, particularly in a US Controls environment
Have the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and written
Be able to prioritize and self-manage a multitasked workload in a fast-paced environment
Understanding and knowledge of industry practices and standards as well as company policies
Make decisions with sound judgment while complying with policies and procedures
