Repair the World Los Angeles is seeking a Senior Program Associate to support the planning and facilitation of meaningful Jewish service learning programs for young adults. The Senior Associate will facilitate Repair’s service corps, a time-bound, stipended cohort program where participants engage in volunteering with a service partner and weekly Jewish learning as a group. They will also plan and facilitate meaningful Jewish service learning programs for non-immersive service participants or for the broader Jewish community, and engage participants to recruit their peers in service and learning.
Job Responsibility:
Recruit and oversee operations of 2-3 cohorts of Corps Members per year
Identify, build, and sustain relationships with local Jewish organizations and service partners for Corps Member placements
Coordinate and facilitate learning for Corps Members about local social issues, Jewish values and program-building skills
Work with the Program Director to implement a strategic programming calendar
Plan and execute calendar of meaningful Jewish service learning programs
Coordinate and collaborate with Repair the World’s staff across the country
Support marketing and communications efforts through content collection
Complete office and administrative responsibilities
Attend external events in support of partners and community
Input timely and accurate data in Salesforce upon completion of programs
Requirements:
2+ years of experience
Experience facilitating Jewish learning and/or service experiences
Ability to plan and execute community programs from concept to implementation
Comfort using standard technology tools (Email, G-Suite, etc.) and learning new systems (Salesforce, Monday, Slack, etc.)
Strong communication, organization and self-management skills
Sophisticated awareness of poverty, structural racism, power and privilege and ability to facilitate conversations around these issues with diverse groups
Availability to facilitate evening and weekend programs (flexible schedule)
