Boston Repair is seeking a dynamic Senior Program Associate to support the planning and facilitation of meaningful Jewish service learning programs for young adults. The Senior Associate will coordinate our service corps—Repair’s signature immersive service experience—a time-bound, stipended cohort program where participants engage in volunteering with a service partner and weekly Jewish learning as a group. The candidate will also plan and facilitate meaningful Jewish service learning programs for non-immersive service participants or for the broader Jewish community, and engage local Repair alumni to recruit their peers in service and learning.
Job Responsibility:
Service Corps: Recruit and oversee day to day operations of 2-3 cohorts of 10-20 Corps Members per year with the goal of Corps Members becoming integrated with their service partners, connected to Jewish community, and reaching their volunteer goals
Identify, build, and sustain existing and new relationships with local Jewish organizations, and service partners for Corps Member placements
Coordinate and facilitate learning for Corps Members about local social issues, Jewish values and the skills needed to build Jewish service learning programs.
Program Facilitation: Work with the City Director to enact a robust and strategic programming calendar, including service opportunities that match the needs of service partners and the target audience.
Plan and execute 1-3 volunteering and/or educational programs per month: Connect with service partners and local Jewish organizations
Prepare and gather supplies
Facilitate contextual issue area education, Jewish learning, meaningful volunteering, and reflection.
Additional Responsibilities: Coordinate and collaborate with Repair the World’s staff across the country, to share skills and resources and maintain program alignment.
Support marketing and communications efforts through content collection for our community newsletters and social media, including capturing photos and stories from service programming.
Complete office and administrative responsibilities, and other needs that arise.
Attend external events in support of partners and community.
Input timely and accurate data in Salesforce upon completion of programs.
Requirements:
1+ years of Experience: Including a track record of: Experience facilitating Jewish learning and/or service experiences
Ability to plan and execute community programs from concept to implementation
Comfort using standard technology tools (Email, G-Suite, etc.) and learning new systems (Salesforce, Monday, Slack, etc.)
Strong communication, organization and self-management skills
Equity Lens: Sophisticated awareness of poverty, structural racism, power and privilege and ability to facilitate conversations around these issues with diverse groups in ways that empower and open people to learning.
Flexible Schedule: Availability to facilitate evening and weekend programs based on the needs of partners’ and participants’ varying schedules.

Program Design Skills: Experience with designing and executing programs that align with our vision, with the flexibility to adapt to community needs while focusing on Jewish learning and social impact.
