Job Description:

Join CIB Banking Transformation & Performance to shape and deliver Global Disbursements payment capabilities. You’ll sit at the centre of Product (UX), Operations and Engineering—turning strategy into a healthy backlog, high-quality releases and measurable client outcomes. As Senior Manager – Product Owner, you will lead the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of Global Disbursements, focusing on building scalable payment products, enabling client-centric innovation, and ensuring seamless collaboration between Product, Operations, and Engineering teams. This role is central to bridging strategy and execution, ensuring that all product backlogs, user stories, testing, and delivery processes are aligned with business outcomes and client expectations. You’ll help embed a culture of delivery excellence, client representation, and proactive partnership across the GD teams.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead the design, delivery and continuous improvement of Global Disbursements products and features
  • Own and maintain the product backlog: prioritisation, refinement, user stories and acceptance criteria aligned to business outcomes
  • Represent the client in delivery, ensuring solutions meet client expectations and operational needs
  • Drive delivery excellence across testing, release readiness, defect management and post-release quality
  • Partner closely with Product, Engineering and Operations leadership to remove blockers and accelerate execution
  • Lead transformation initiatives, including simplification and automation adoption
  • Coordinate decisions across global stakeholders and distributed teams within agreed timelines
  • Coach and mentor junior product managers, embedding strong Agile and product practices

Requirements:

  • 12+ years’ experience in Product Engineering / Delivery / Payments Operations / Transformation (banking/fintech preferred)
  • Strong Agile delivery capability: backlog management, user story refinement, and end-to-end delivery ownership
  • Experience in transaction banking products—ideally cross-border payments, disbursement platforms, or similar
  • Excellent stakeholder management across Product, Technology and Operations
  • able to influence without formal authority
  • Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills
  • able to translate complex needs into simple, scalable solutions
  • Change leadership mindset with a bias for action
  • passionate about innovation and continuous improvement
  • Strong communication skills and fluency in English
  • University degree (or equivalent)
