Job Description

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Product Manager (Product Owner) to drive end-to-end product management and delivery execution for large scrum teams supporting the Investment Research, Strategy, and Portfolio Management platform within Investment Solutions (IS), part of the Wealth & Investment Management (WIM) Chief Product Office. This role provides dedicated senior-level product ownership across the tools, data, and workflows that power advisor-facing investment research, portfolio construction, and strategy delivery. The PM ensures consistent execution, strong decision-making, and aligned roadmap delivery across a complex, multi-stakeholder ecosystem spanning research publishing, model portfolio management, and investment strategy distribution. This is a high-autonomy, execution-focused role where you will own roadmap definition, feature delivery, and cross-functional coordination across Business, Technology, and Operations. As the organization continues to flatten, this role operates as a de facto stream lead, strengthening execution discipline and reducing reliance on management layers. This position plays a key role in advancing the Investment Research and Strategy platform toward a 2027 AI-enabled advisory experience, incorporating intelligent research personalization, model portfolio automation, and workflow-driven strategy distribution into the product roadmap.

Job Responsibility

  • Serve as the Product Owner for one or more Investment Solutions scrum teams focused on Investment Research, Strategy, and Portfolio Management, with end-to-end accountability for product management and delivery outcomes
  • Define and execute product vision, roadmap, and priorities for research publishing, model portfolio tools, investment strategy workflows, and advisor-facing content delivery
  • Own backlog management across research platform capabilities, ensuring clear requirements, defined scope, and alignment to the broader IS strategic direction
  • Lead release planning, dependency management, and open issue governance across integrated platforms including publications systems, portfolio modeling tools, and downstream advisory platforms
  • Drive cross-functional alignment across Investment Research, Portfolio Strategy, Technology, and Operations without requiring escalation
  • Ensure consistent execution standards, prioritization practices, and delivery cadence across scrum teams supporting research and strategy workflows
  • Resolve complex product and delivery challenges at the intersection of research content, data accuracy, portfolio modeling logic, and advisor experience
  • Operate with a high degree of autonomy as a decision-maker and execution leader within a flattened operating model
  • Partner with stakeholders, scrum masters, and delivery teams to maintain momentum and execution quality
  • Advance the platform roadmap by incorporating AI-enabled capabilities, including research personalization, decision support, automated commentary generation, and workflow efficiency
  • Ensure adherence to risk, control, compliance, and regulatory standards across all product management activities

Requirements

  • 4+ years of Product Management experience, product development experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • Experience serving as Product Owner for large, complex scrum teams with end-to-end ownership of the product lifecycle, including roadmap definition, backlog prioritization, feature delivery, and execution outcomes
  • Experience operating across multi-team or platform-level ecosystems supporting integrated research, data, and advisory workflows rather than single applications
  • Strong track record of release planning, dependency coordination, and issue governance across complex, cross-team environments
  • Experience driving execution across business, technology, and operations teams, partnering closely with cross-functional leaders to deliver outcomes
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain delivery momentum in environments with competing priorities, evolving content requirements, and regulatory constraints
  • Proven ability to operate as a senior individual contributor in lean, flattened organizations, absorbing coordination, prioritization, and execution responsibilities typically handled at the management layer
  • Experience making independent product and delivery trade-offs, balancing business needs, technical constraints, data quality considerations, and risk
  • Ability to manage complex stakeholder dynamics across research, portfolio strategy, and technology teams and align competing priorities into clear roadmap and execution plans without escalation
  • Strong communication skills with a focus on clarity, prioritization, and outcome-driven alignment with senior research and investment leadership
  • Track record of improving execution discipline, team accountability, and delivery consistency across Agile teams
  • Experience in wealth management, investment research, portfolio management, or financial services — with familiarity with how advisors consume and act on investment content
  • Understanding of investment research workflows, model portfolio construction, strategy distribution, and the advisor experience lifecycle, with the ability to connect product decisions to advisor experience and client outcomes
  • Familiarity with research publishing platforms, portfolio modeling tools (e.g., Aladdin, APL, InvestCloud), or investment data infrastructure
  • Exposure to or experience incorporating AI-driven capabilities into product roadmaps, including automated content generation, personalization, research summarization, or decision support
  • Ability to translate AI and data concepts into practical product features and advisor value, contributing to platform evolution beyond near-term delivery
