The Media & Platform Security portfolio is a key part of this foundation, enabling secure platform capabilities and partner integrations that support premium scenarios across the ecosystem. We are seeking a Senior Program Manager to help drive the execution, and ongoing improvement of Microsoft’s media and platform security capabilities. This role is ideal for a program leader who thrives in ambiguous problem spaces, enjoys working across engineering, security, legal, and partner teams, and is passionate about building secure, scalable platform technologies. As a Senior Program Manager, you will own complex, cross‑functional programs that span internal Microsoft teams and a wide range of external partners. You will translate business, security, and compliance requirements into clear execution plans, drive delivery with strong operational rigor, and communicate progress, risks, and tradeoffs to stakeholders and leadership.
Job Responsibility:
Lead complex, cross‑functional programs end‑to‑end, with accountability for planning, execution, risk management, and delivery across multiple teams and time zones
Define progress metrics and execution frameworks aligned to established platform security strategy priorities, partner needs, and ecosystem requirements
Translate ambiguous business, security, and compliance requirements into clear, actionable deliverables and repeatable processes
Partner closely with engineering, security, legal, and business stakeholders to manage dependencies and drive predictable execution
Drive ecosystem security, readiness, and adoption initiatives with external partners, ensuring clear expectations, communication, and delivery of required updates
Identify risks early, evaluate tradeoffs, and propose mitigation strategies to balance scope, quality, security, and timelines
Use data and partner feedback to inform prioritization, measure impact, and continuously improve program outcomes
Communicate program status, risks, and recommendations clearly to senior leadership and cross‑functional stakeholders
Coordinate cross‑functional efforts to address security risks and partner‑impacting issues, ensuring clear communication, timely resolution, and ecosystem confidence

Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Or a realted field AND 4+ years experience in product/technical/program management, or a related role or equivalent experience
2+ years of experience managing cross‑functional and/or cross‑team programs
Demonstrated ability to lead programs in technically complex or platform‑oriented environments
Proven experience translating ambiguous goals into structured plans and measurable outcomes
Experience communicating program status, risks, and recommendations to senior stakeholders
Experience working with external stakeholders across disciplines and levels
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role
Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter
Nice to have:
Experience working on platform security, media systems, content protection, or compliance‑driven technologies
Familiarity with multimedia or device ecosystems involving external partners and licensees
Experience driving partner‑facing programs, certification processes, or ecosystem readiness initiatives
Solid technical fluency, with the ability to collaborate deeply with engineering teams on system-level topics
