As a Senior Product Manager within the M365 Messaging team, your role will be instrumental in driving improvements and innovations for messaging, including both real-time and email communications. You will participate in cross-team efforts to define, gather, and prioritize business and technical requirements from stakeholders including customers, marketing, legal, and partner teams. You will gain insights and make data driven decisions to improve the reliability and quality of our infrastructure. Your strategic planning will influence the capabilities and the roadmap used to prioritize our engineering investments to help us continue to provide a first-class messaging platform for our first party, as well as third party partners and applications.
Job Responsibility:
Product Strategy and Vision: Develop and communicate a clear product vision and strategy that aligns with business goals and customer needs
Identify market opportunities and define long-term product roadmaps
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with engineering, design, marketing, and other teams to ensure successful product development and launch
Work closely with partners to discover opportunities and prioritize them for extending product features
Customer Focus: Understand and address customer needs and pain points through user research and feedback
Ensure the product meets user requirements and provides valuable experience
Project Management: Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of product features and enhancements
Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets to ensure timely delivery
Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize data insights to inform product decisions and identify opportunities for improvement
Monitor and evaluate product performance to ensure it meets business objectives
Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Communicate product updates, progress, and challenges to stakeholders effectively
Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation
Continuously seek ways to improve product features and processes

Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree AND experience in product/service/project/program management or software development OR equivalent experience
Experience designing and shipping complex products for developers and customers
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements
Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter
Nice to have:
Experience in distributed systems, platform products, backend/API ecosystems, or engineering environments
Familiarity with notifications, messaging, or telemetry platforms
