We are the Windows Servicing and Delivery (WSD) organization with a core mission of accelerating innovation & building trust for the billions of customers we keep protected and productive. We deliver seamless and timely update experience for our customers in the existing and future versions of Windows across consumer, enterprise and Microsoft Cloud segments. Our Currency, Pipeline and Commercial (CPC) team is responsible for creating the tools and processes that keep Windows up to date, ensuring that users have the most up-to-date features and security possible. We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Product Manager responsible for designing and building the WSD servicing and delivery pipeline. As a Senior Product Manager, you will be responsible for building world-class tools and infrastructure to enable updates and feature deliveries to our Windows operating system. You will work closely with cross-functional teams (both here in India and Redmond) to drive successful planning, development, and deployment of the capabilities in your areas.
Job Responsibility:
Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy and roadmap for your areas, aligned with the overall org vision and goals
Investigate and build deep insights into customer scenarios using telemetry/data, customer feedback, anecdotal evidence, and market perceptions
Engage with Leadership, partners and other teams to drive clarity on strategic initiatives
Drive strong delivery strategy, feature specs, and planning rigor while partnering closely with internal stakeholders to crisply define, prioritize end to end scenarios and requirements
Prioritize, manage, and coordinate the work of a team of engineers to deliver features and fixes on regular cadence and track progress against common goals
Evaluate feasibility of AI solutions and communicate trade-offs with engineering and data teams
Design and deliver solutions using Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and tool/plugin protocols e.g., Model Context Protocol (MCP), working closely with engineering
Analysing large datasets, creating dashboards, interpreting metrics, and using insights to drive product decisions
Work in close co-ordination with Leadership to align on shared goals and define, measure and report on success metrics
Manage schedules, risks, and issues with effective communication to the team, senior management, and partners
Continuously assess user feedback, market trends, and technological advancements to ensure our products and services remain competitive and exceed user expectations
Provide subject matter expertise with exceptional depth of knowledge for the areas of ownership and integrated partner services
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree AND 5+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development OR equivalent experience
Product/program management experience with a track record shipping data-powered features or platforms at scale
Solid collaboration, execution, and judgement skills to prioritize and drive work across multiple teams and in multiple development cycles
Good understanding of AI/ML concepts
Fluency in SQL or KQL (Kusto) to self-serve analyses
comfortable in Power BI or equivalent for stakeholder reporting
Great design and problem-solving skills, with a strong bias for simplification and automation
Technical acumen and ability to dive deep to understand technical capabilities, assess dependencies, as part of architecting a solution
Experience in using data, experimentation, KPIs, and Key Results, to measure results and make informed business and product decisions
Passion for customers and partner experience, with ability to balance their needs with business priorities
Proven ability to derive clarity from ambiguity, and direct teams to deliver effective solutions
Effective leadership and high integrity in applying a growth mindset to learn from experience and build trust within your team and with external partners
Great communications skills, both verbal and written
Nice to have:
10 or more years of relevant experience and a degree in computer science or related field
Strategic thinking to break down a vision to concrete deliverables and milestones
Bias for action, crisp decision making, and ownership from problem framing through measurable outcomes
Experience in dealing with cross geographical teams and stakeholders
Exceptional interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation and negotiation, and ability to influence without authority
