You would join the team as a Senior Product Manager working on the modern, web-based add-in model for Office, enabling developers to build deep integrations with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint that look and feel like Office, are easy for users to acquire/use/embrace, and travel with them across devices and platforms seamlessly. You’ll do this by building a platform that makes it easy for developers to build powerful, performant, highly-quality integrations using standard web technologies and tools.
Job Responsibility:
Deeply understanding the needs of Office developers (both first- and third-party)
Seeking out community input whenever possible, and using their feedback to guide your work
Closely engaging with partners to help them succeed in building and maintaining integrations
Partnering closely within our team and outside of it to deliver the platform
Driving near-term optimization and delivery as well as the long-term strategy for supporting our ecosystem and helping it move forward
Thinking big and moving quickly with a sharp focus on telemetry, experimentation, and business outcomes
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree AND 5+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development OR equivalent experience
Are a passionate problem solver, who continuously strives to make things better
Enjoy wearing multiple hats and digging in to make things happen
Are equally comfortable articulating the big picture and refining the small details of a design
Are customer and data obsessed, always learning, and refining your features to deliver maximum business impact
Love pushing for clarity in communication and can explain large, complex systems, in simple-straightforward language
Have a strong drive to take a broad view on platform, thinking not only about the traditional topics of APIs, extension points, etc. but also about how extensions impact and integrate with the user experience
Know how to balance passion and opinion with being a great team player
Nice to have:
Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development OR equivalent experience
2+ years experience taking a product, feature, or experience to market (e.g., design, addressing product market fit, and launch, internal tool/framework)
4+ years experience improving product metrics for a product, feature, or experience in a market (e.g., growing customer base, expanding customer usage, avoiding customer churn)
4+ years experience disrupting a market for a product, feature, or experience (e.g., competitive disruption, taking the place of an established competing product)
