Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Interoperability Product Manager to lead the strategy, roadmap, and execution of our healthcare data integration products. You will collaborate closely with engineering, user experience, user research, and customer success teams to deliver scalable, standards-based solutions that accelerate connectivity across health systems, payers, and digital health partners.

Job Responsibility:

  • Define and drive the product vision and strategy for interoperability capabilities, focusing on EMR/EHR connectivity, data exchange, and SMART on FHIR enablement
  • Identify opportunities to expand into API marketplaces and broader health data ecosystems
  • Monitor regulatory and standards developments (e.g., ONC Cures Act, TEFCA, USCDI, CMS regulations) to ensure compliance and market alignment
  • Own end-to-end product lifecycle management, from discovery and requirements gathering to launch and adoption
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders (providers, payers, EMR vendors, interoperability hubs) to prioritize integration of roadmaps
  • Collaborate with UX and engineering teams to design intuitive workflows for SMART on FHIR applications
  • Guide teams on best practices for interoperability standards
  • Support integration with EMR vendor APIs and interoperability engines
  • Contribute to API design patterns and marketplace strategies for third-party developers and partner integrations
  • Act as product subject matter expert in discussions with customers, prospects, vendors, and regulatory bodies
  • Develop product collateral, including use-case documentation, technical integration guides, and customer-facing roadmaps
  • Partner with sales, marketing, and business development to position interoperability offerings in the market

Requirements:

  • Strong background in healthcare interoperability standards
  • Hands-on experience working with EMR/EHR vendors, interoperability platforms, and SaaS products
  • Experience with HL7 v2, CDA, FHIR R4, SMART on FHIR, and emerging standards
  • Experience with EMR vendor APIs (Epic, Cerner, Athena, eClinicalWorks, Allscripts, etc.) and interoperability engines (Rhapsody, Mirth, InterSystems, Qvera, etc.)
  • Ability to translate interoperability use cases (clinical, financial, administrative) into clear functional requirements
  • Experience in product lifecycle management
  • Experience collaborating with engineering, UX, user research, and customer success teams
  • Experience with API design patterns and marketplace strategies
  • Experience acting as a product subject matter expert with customers, prospects, vendors, and regulatory bodies
  • Experience developing product collateral
