We're seeking a Senior Product Manager to drive the growth of Howdy, Roku's low-cost, ad-free subscription streaming service. Howdy offers 10,000+ hours of movies and TV for $2.99/month, serving viewers who want affordable, uninterrupted entertainment as a complement to larger premium services. You will contribute to product strategy and execution across subscriber growth, content discovery, engagement, and retention, with a focus on delivering a simple, high-quality experience across Howdy's distribution surfaces (including Roku devices, howdy.tv, mobile apps, Prime Video Channels). You are smart, hands-on, a strong collaborator, and committed to shipping high-quality experiences on schedule. Based in San Jose.
Job Responsibility
Own the Howdy product roadmap from concept through execution, setting near-term priorities and a multi-quarter vision across subscriber acquisition, onboarding, engagement, and retention
Collaborate tightly with Engineering, User Experience, Marketing, Content, and Business teams. Working with Program Management, lead cross-functional execution
Improve the Howdy viewing experience through new features and UX enhancements. Identify viewer pain points, define requirements, validate via testing, and ship features that lift activation, engagement, and retention
Instrument and monitor core subscription metrics (starts, conversion, churn, reactivation, engagement, content consumption) and run experiments to improve performance
Partner with Content Strategy and Programming to translate the Howdy content catalog into compelling, discoverable experiences, surfacing the right titles for the right viewers at the right moment
Champion Howdy's ad-free, budget-friendly positioning so product decisions reinforce a simple, differentiated subscriber experience
Requirements
5+ years of Product Management experience
consumer subscriptions or streaming experience strongly preferred
Bachelor's degree (Computer Science or related technical field)
MBA a plus
Demonstrated success driving subscriber growth and retention through onboarding, discovery, merchandising, or lifecycle improvements
Ability to engage deeply with Engineering on technical details and translate product requirements into scalable solutions
proven track record delivering high-quality consumer products on time
Reputation as a strong collaborator who listens, builds consensus, makes clear decisions, and writes thoughtful requirements
Track record of executing plans end-to-end: driving alignment, managing tradeoffs, and unblocking teams to ship reliably
Ability to build trusted, cross-functional relationships
serving as an approachable authority on the product, connecting the right people to keep execution moving
Strong analytical skills and comfort with experimentation at scale: trial conversion, churn, content engagement, and cohort analysis
Excellent product judgment and UX sensibility for content-rich streaming experiences
Experience partnering with Content/Programming teams and translating content goals into scalable product experiences
AI literacy and curiosity. You have either 1) tried Gen AI in your previous work or outside of work, or 2) are curious about Gen AI and have explored it
Bonus: experience shipping consumer products across owned apps, partner storefronts, web, or mobile
