Job Description:

As Senior Product Manager for the betting cluster of Genius Sports, you will work closely with the VP of Product and delivery teams translating high level roadmaps into work items. Your responsibilities will cover both the strategic and tactical aspects of Product Management. The tactical aspects of the role require requirements scoping, definition of epic level acceptance criteria, working with the delivery team during planning phases and throughout product delivery. You will work with the team leads and solution architects to ensure all aspects of delivery have been accounted for (this includes operational help, domain knowledge share and go-to-market strategy). You will work with a committed and collaborative team of developers, QAs, PMs, Team Leads and SME’s who will assist you in achieving shared product goals. As such, you will need to work transparently within our collaboration tools (e.g. Jira and Confluence).

Job Responsibility:

  • Ensure your team and stakeholders are fully invested and helping you to shape the product vision, goals and strategy for the next programme increment
  • Work with the Product VP and other related stakeholders to produce the product vision, roadmap and identify strategic opportunities
  • Translating product vision and roadmap into detailed work items in preparation for delivery
  • Maintain strong links to key stakeholders across technical, commercial, support, marketing and operations in addition to key customers utilising KPIs and OKRS for success
  • Articulate vision and direction to the development team and stakeholders throughout the development, go-to-market cycle and post launch analysis
  • Keep abreast of developments in the industry and with specific competitors identifying threats and opportunities
  • Support the operational running of the product on a day-to-day basis
  • Managing the release to customers and go to market strategy
  • Define epics with comprehensive acceptance criteria, interacting with relevant stakeholders and subject matter experts to verify work is correctly specified and relevant assets (wireframes, designs) are included
  • Verifying that epics are completed to the expectation set out in the acceptance criteria
  • Work closely with Delivery Lead to ensure alignment on all team and product matters
  • Produce relevant documentation to support product awareness and technical build

Requirements:

  • Experience in product management in the Managed Trading services or Risk management in the online sports betting industry
  • 5+ years’ experience in Product Management roles
  • Proven experience in developing a product strategy and effectively managing roadmaps
  • Experience with software product development methodologies, mainly focused on agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban
  • Deep experience in gathering and transforming product requirements into a practical product roadmap
  • Strong background in BI and/or Analytics required
  • experience working on data-oriented products preferred
