The Senior Manager for Ancillary Revenue Products is responsible for the analysis, planning, and coordination of technology activities for developing ancillary revenue products at Marriott. This role will collaborate with Commerce, Hotel Operations, Digital, Loyalty business partners, a mix of internal Marriott technology teams, and 3rd party vendors to drive the successful delivery of technology solutions. This includes enterprise compliance, security, and technical due diligence projects. In addition, the role also includes working with multiple different SaaS Vendors that provide applications for supporting Tours and Activities, SPA, Golf, Table Management and Digital Dining operations at Marriott Properties.
Job Responsibility:
Coordinate and drive the cross-functional execution of key development activities with our 3rd party vendors, internal technology teams, and business partners
Partner with Enterprise Architecture teams to create Business/ Solution Architecture for new applications and integrations
Define, document and socialize product requirements - document business and technical use cases, Acceptance Criteria, workflows, and wireframes to support and lead development of new functionality, new solutions through service provider and vendor teams
Coordinate and lead Quality Engineering activities and acceptance of system changes between vendors and MI business partners
Coordinate with support teams for incident resolution, Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and prioritize defect fixes, Root Cause remediation in the product backlog
Evaluate product improvements and new technical solutions to align with business objectives
Requirements:
7+ years’ experience in information technology application design or development projects
Undergraduate degree
Demonstrated project leadership and management skills, including a demonstrated ability to lead multi-functional project teams and 3rd party vendors to deliver concrete actions and results
Demonstrated ability to deliver results under challenging conditions, particularly when faced with complexity, ambiguity, and aggressive timelines
Demonstrated ability to assess customer needs, creatively approach solutions, and decide and influence appropriate courses of action
Hands-on experience with cloud-native microservices, API development, and event-driven architectures
Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines, DevOps tools (Git, JIRA, Jenkins, Dynatrace), and containerization
Experience with JIRA and Confluence
Strong project management skills (PMI certification a plus)
Strong process management, negotiating, influencing, and problem-resolution skills
Experience completing information technology cost/resource estimates to implement and support solutions
Excellent communicator, both written and spoken
Experience with Agile Development methodology and tools (CSPO or CSM certification a plus)
Experience in using AI tools for Requirements documentation and Testing
Nice to have:
Familiarity with hospitality industry applications and processes
Experience working with 3rd party vendors and service providers
Familiarity with Golf, SPA operations, technology and or marketing
Familiarity with Marriott’s existing information architecture, application portfolio, and information management methodology
