We are looking for a Senior Product Manager – Acquiring & Local Payment Methods to own and evolve myPOS’s acquiring capabilities and local payment method portfolio across multiple European markets. In this role, you will be responsible for defining the product strategy, roadmap, and execution for card acquiring and alternative/local payment methods, ensuring strong commercial performance, regulatory compliance, and excellent merchant experience. You will work at the intersection of technology, regulation, partnerships, and market needs. This is a high-impact role requiring deep payments expertise, strong stakeholder management, and the ability to drive complex initiatives end-to-end.
Job Responsibility:
Own the product vision and roadmap for acquiring and local payment methods across all myPOS markets
Identify opportunities to expand payment coverage, improve conversion, reduce costs, and increase merchant value
Balance global platform consistency with local market requirements and regulations
Lead product development for card acquiring (Visa, Mastercard, scheme rules, interchange, settlement, pricing)
Own onboarding, configuration, lifecycle management, and performance of local and alternative payment methods (e.g. wallets, bank-based payments, regional schemes)
Ensure high availability, reliability, and scalability of payment flows
Act as the primary product interface with payment scheme partners, local payment method providers, and internal stakeholders (Engineering, Compliance, Risk, Finance, Operations, Sales)
Collaborate closely with Compliance and Risk teams to ensure adherence to PSD2, SCA, AML, scheme rules, and local regulations
Translate strategy into clear requirements, user stories, and priorities for engineering teams
Drive discovery, delivery, and iteration using data, experimentation, and merchant feedback
Manage dependencies and trade-offs across multiple teams and initiatives
Define and track KPIs such as approval rates, cost of acceptance, payment success rates, merchant adoption, and revenue impact
Use data to identify issues, optimize performance, and support decision-making
Communicate progress, risks, and outcomes clearly to senior leadership
Requirements:
5+ years of Product Management experience, with significant focus on payments, acquiring, or fintech
Strong understanding of card acquiring, payment processing flows, and payment scheme ecosystems
Hands-on experience with local/alternative payment methods across European markets is a strong plus
Proven track record of owning complex, regulated products end-to-end
Deep knowledge of payments concepts: authorization, clearing & settlement, interchange, scheme rules, SCA
Strong analytical skills and comfort working with metrics and financial models
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
Ability to operate at both strategic and execution levels
Experience working with cross-functional, distributed teams
Customer-centric mindset with a strong commercial instinct
Comfortable navigating ambiguity and regulatory complexity
Pragmatic, outcome-driven, and able to influence without authority
