Senior Product Manager – Network Observability. This role has been designed as ‘Hybrid’ with an expectation that you will work on average 2 days per week from an HPE office. HPE OpsRamp is seeking a Principal Product Manager to lead the definition of network observability requirements for OpsRamp. This individual will serve as the authoritative domain expert for the network domain. They will engage with customers and product management counterparts across HPE’s business units to identify use cases for network observability and translate requirements to product requirements. The ideal candidate brings deep network domain expertise, strong product leadership, and the ability to influence across functions without formal authority.
Job Responsibility:
Provide thought leadership across: Network telemetry (metrics, events, logs, flows, traces)
Network performance, fault and availability monitoring
Operational analytics and insights
Influence platform evolution in areas such as data ingestion, normalization, analytics and visualization
Serve as the Product Manager for all Network BU engagements involving HPE OpsRamp
Drive early and continuous alignment with Network BU leadership on roadmap, architecture, and release planning
Ensure HPE OpsRamp capabilities are embedded as core dependencies within Network BU product strategies
Lead the embedding of HPE OpsRamp observability, telemetry and operational workflows into Network BU product release cycles
Partner with Network PMs, architects, and engineering teams to define: Standardized telemetry requirements
Operational readiness criteria
Post-release monitoring, alerting, and lifecycle management
Ensure HPE OpsRamp integration is planned and delivered as part of GA readiness, not post-launch
Act as the primary product interface for Network-related initiatives across: Customer Success
Operations to include Support, MS & A&PS
Presales and GTM teams
Translate field, customer and operational feedback into actionable product requirements and roadmap inputs
Enable internal teams with clear product direction, positioning, and usage guidance for Network capabilities
Serve as the final authority for all Network-related RFEs, feature prioritization, and roadmap decisions within HPE OpsRamp
Own and maintain the Network product roadmap, balancing BU demands, customer needs and platform scalability
Establish clear governance for intake, prioritization and communication of Network-related enhancements
Work closely with Engineering and Architecture to define and deliver Network and telemetry capabilities
Translate business and operational needs into clear product requirements, user stories and success metrics
Ensure delivered features meet performance, scale, and reliability requirements expected of network platforms
Requirements:
8+ years of Product Management experience with complex, technical or platform products
Strong background in network technologies, network management or network observability
Proven experience acting as a central PM authority across multiple teams or business units
Deep understanding of network fundamentals (routing, switching, latency, throughput, packet loss, software-defined networks, software-defined WANs)
Hands-on experience with telemetry pipelines and high-volume data platforms
Ability to partner credibly with senior engineers and architects on design and scalability decisions
Demonstrated ability to influence across Product, Engineering, CS, Operations and Field teams
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level presentations
Comfortable operating in ambiguity and driving alignment across competing priorities
Nice to have:
Experience in enterprise networking, service provider, or cloud-scale environments
Background in distributed systems, observability platforms, or operations tooling
Prior experience supporting Presales or GTM motions for technical products
