Job Description

Help us redefine the future of financial reporting! In the Reporting and Reconciliation domain, we are actively moving away from outdated, static reports and fragmented data exports. Instead, this is your opportunity to design a holistic, one-stop-shop experience that simplifies how merchants interact with their finances. You will tackle high-impact design challenges by unifying complex financial data into a single, intuitive workflow. By giving users the tools to easily customize and consume the insights they need, you will directly empower them to better understand their business, reduce their daily operational burden, and efficiently close their books at the end of each month.

Job Responsibility

  • Deeply understand and own the user experience (UX) for complex product ecosystems. Take ownership of broad, undefined problem spaces within the financial domain. You will not only design the solution, but help define the problem, creating a clear strategic vision that balances user needs with regulatory and technical constraints
  • Partner closely with Product, Technology, and Data Analytics teams to jointly articulate a cohesive short-term tactical roadmap and a compelling long-term strategic vision for our products
  • Drive data-informed enterprise design, leveraging insights to design for the specific needs of B2B and enterprise users. You will balance the density of information required by financial controllers with intuitive usability
  • Proactively raise the bar for quality across the product experience, spanning design, research, and content, while streamlining processes and maximizing team efficiency to help Adyen reach its full potential
  • Strategically document and share work in progress, ensuring maximum transparency and maintaining critical alignment across all dependent teams
  • Effectively articulate solution decisions, methodologies, and the tangible value they deliver to the PX team, cross-functional partners (Product, Engineering, Data analytics), and senior business stakeholders
  • Mentor, coach, and inspire fellow team members by setting new, elevated standards of design quality and actively driving strategic knowledge sharing across the entire organization

Requirements

  • Bachelor or Master Degree in interaction (product) design or related fields (including information design, conversational AI, etc)
  • 8+ years of experience designing complex hardware/software solutions, preferably in SaaS or B2B products, with a proven ability to simplify intricate workflows and enhance user experiences
  • Domain Knowledge: Familiarity with business banking, fintech, or enterprise financial services is an asset. You are comfortable designing for data-heavy surfaces and understanding the needs of financial users
  • Systems Thinking: You excel at seeing the big picture. You can map out intricate user journeys that span ecosystems, ensuring consistency and logic across the entire platform
  • A strong sense of mission: Taking responsibility for the success of the company and our customers by setting high standards, taking ownership, and fostering collaboration
  • Thriving through uncertainties: Embracing new challenges and shifting landscapes with a positive outlook, we adapt swiftly and effectively. By staying flexible and proactive, we turn uncertainty into a driving force for sustained progress and meaningful results
  • Action with intent: At the heart of design is solving meaningful problems—whether emotional, practical, or social. We focus on identifying what truly matters and crafting solutions that drive measurable business and user outcomes, avoiding iterations that fail to make a real impact
