Job Description:

Senior Product Designer role at HSBC to define and deliver best-in-class experiences for millions of customers across the globe, working with cross-functional teams to deliver a portfolio of projects and positioning HSBC at the forefront of customer experience design.

Job Responsibility:

Define and deliver best-in-class experiences for millions of customers across the globe
Unlock the full potential of the banking app and connected channels
Define global standards through data, research and insights and benchmarking against the best
Work with cross-functional teams to deliver a portfolio of projects in a specific business area or initiative
Influence vision, strategy, and roadmap to position HSBC at the forefront of customer experience design
Elevate design quality and practice, championing design thinking
Ensure highest standard of craft across user experience (UX), user interface (UI) and user experience writing
Translate complex financial services and regulatory requirements into simple, engaging digital experiences
Conduct research and apply data and insights to validate customer experiences
Focus on UX, content, visual and interaction design across product development lifecycle

Requirements:

Proven experience designing digital products and services, with strategic responsibility and impact or connecting decisions to business and customer goals
A strong portfolio showcasing world-class product design across responsive and native platforms, with clear user and business outcomes
Expertise in Figma, design systems, prototyping, and core UX disciplines including research, content design, testing, visual and interaction design, and information architecture
Experience in complex, regulated environments—ideally financial services
Working knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive design
A collaborative, cross-functional mindset with the ability to build trust across geographies and in global contexts
Demonstrate a capability for writing effective content in UK English as part of your product design skill set
Confidence mentoring others and contributing to a culture of growth and excellence

Nice to have:

Experience in financial services
Working knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive design
Capability for writing effective content in UK English
