The Foundational Product Experiences (FPX) design team at Zalando is responsible for core, high-impact interactions that define the customer journey, such as, product detail pages, ratings and reviews, navigation, customer account, accessibility, and such. Our mission is to create a reliable and intuitive backbone for the platform, ensuring that every user - regardless of their style or shopping intent - can have a frictionless experience. We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Product Designer to join the team. In this role you’ll play a key role in shaping and delivering a cohesive, intuitive experience across different areas at Zalando - empowering our customers to explore and discover with ease. It is a parental cover and will have a 1 year limited contract.
Job Responsibility:
Contribute to the Zalando Product Design community and the larger European design industry by sharing best practices, mentoring and teaching colleagues, crafting best-in-class solutions, bar-raising in design reviews, and sparking inspiring conversations
Work with multidisciplinary teams, product designers, product managers, and engineers to help shape and help bring to life remarkable customer and partner journeys
Requirements:
Experience designing and delivering robust and scalable customer experiences by partnering with stakeholders, engineers and other designers
In-depth knowledge and understanding of e-commerce best practices and web and app UI as well as UX patterns
Experience working with Design Systems and scaling design solutions
Strong collaboration and communication skills
Growth mindset and value experimentation
Advocate for accessible, inclusive design
Mentor others and raise the quality of work across the team
