An exciting opportunity has been created for a Procurement Manager to join a rapidly growing power and utilities delivery organisation operating across major Transmission & Distribution and substation programmes. With the business set to triple in scale over the next few years, procurement plays a critical role in enabling growth, strengthening supply chains, and supporting the ambition to become a contractor and employer of choice. This role sits at the heart of that transformation.
Job Responsibility:
Implement procurement strategies aligned to business growth, efficiency, and risk management objectives
Lead and support tendering activities across power and substation projects
Manage supplier relationships, performance, and commercial compliance
Work closely with commercial and legal teams to support contract negotiations
Apply working knowledge of NEC subcontract and commercial processes
Act as the primary procurement interface for project stakeholders
Support project delivery schedules and manage supply chain risks
Ensure compliance with health, safety, sustainability, and governance standards
Contribute to procurement risk assessments and mitigation planning
Lead, mentor, and develop procurement team members
Support senior procurement leadership with wider functional strategy and change initiatives
Requirements:
Proven procurement professional with end-to-end procurement experience
Background in power, utilities, infrastructure, or construction environments
Experience working with both materials suppliers and subcontractors
Strong supplier relationship and supply chain management capability
Confident stakeholder manager with a collaborative, credible approach
Comfortable operating in fast-paced, evolving project environments
Working knowledge of NEC3 / NEC4 contracts
Strong commercial, analytical, and negotiation skills
MCIPS (or working towards), relevant degree, or equivalent experience preferred
Willing to travel across the UK to support suppliers and project teams
