Job Description

Are you a senior procurement professional with a proven ability to deliver commercial value and lead strategic sourcing activity? A client is seeking a Senior Procurement Manager to oversee procurement and supply chain delivery across a complex property and investment portfolio. This interim opportunity will see you play a key role in driving procurement excellence, ensuring compliance, and enhancing supply chain performance across a range of high-value categories. The role is offered on a 4-6 month interim basis, with an immediate start required. An extension is likely.

Job Responsibility

  • Providing strategic leadership to the procurement function, managing and developing a team to deliver consistent, high-quality outcomes
  • Leading end-to-end procurement activity, including complex tenders, sourcing strategies, and contract management
  • Developing and implementing category strategies aligned with organisational objectives and operational requirements
  • Ensuring all procurement activity is compliant with relevant legislation, governance frameworks, and internal policies
  • Partnering with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and deliver commercially sound procurement solutions
  • Managing supplier relationships to drive performance, value for money, and long-term partnerships
  • Identifying and delivering opportunities for cost optimisation and process improvement across the supply chain
  • 3 direct reports

Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience in a senior procurement or supply chain leadership role, ideally within property, housing, or construction sectors
  • Strong knowledge of procurement legislation and best practice sourcing methodologies
  • Proven leadership capability, with experience managing teams and driving performance
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at a senior level
  • Strong commercial acumen, with experience in negotiation, contract management, and supplier performance
  • Highly organised with strong analytical capability and attention to detail
  • Relevant professional qualification (e.g., MCIPS) desirable
