Job Description

This is a hands-on operational role within a small, high-performing contracts team of four supporting high-volume trading activity. The position will suit someone who enjoys being close to the detail of contract and order management while building the capability to step into a Contract Manager role over time. You will initially join as a senior individual contributor, working closely with the Contract Manager and broader operations team, with clear opportunities to grow into leadership responsibilities as the business continues to expand.

Job Responsibility

  • Prepare and manage contract documentation end-to-end
  • Process purchase orders, sales contracts, invoices, packing lists and shipment reports
  • Maintain accurate records and system updates
  • Track shipments and coordinate with agents, forwarders and transport providers
  • Monitor contract progress to ensure delivery timelines and compliance
  • Assist with tender quotes and project bids
  • Act as a key point of coordination between operations, customers and suppliers
  • Maintain contract registers, documentation and reporting
  • Support high-volume trading activity with strong attention to detail
  • Ensure documentation and processes remain accurate and compliant
  • Provide support and guidance to junior team members
  • Step in as second-in-charge when required
  • Contribute to improving processes and operational efficiency

Requirements

  • Experience in contracts administration, procurement, logistics or supply chain operations
  • Strong organisational and documentation management skills
  • Experience managing purchase orders, contracts or shipment documentation
  • The ability to work closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors
  • A hands-on, detail-oriented approach in a high-volume environment
  • Diploma or degree in Business, Procurement, Supply Chain, Logistics or a related field (preferred but not essential)
  • Professional certifications such as CIPS, Supply Chain Management, or Procurement (preferred)
  • 5 years experience
