We are currently recruiting Senior Process Engineer on behalf of our sister company TUV Rheinland Industrial Services (TRIS). Job Responsibility

  • Lead and support process engineering projects, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery
  • Author, review, and approve process engineering deliverables, ensuring compliance with industry and internal standards
  • Collaborate with commercial teams to develop accurate proposals and man-hour estimates
  • Interact with customers to deliver tailored solutions
  • Contribute to the development of TÜV’s portfolio, focusing on Energy Transition and Net Zero initiatives
  • Network and share best practices across teams and disciplines
  • Deliver training courses to external clients, such as Pressure Relief
  • Mentor and guide graduate and junior engineers

Requirements

  • Degree in Process Engineering or related field
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in process engineering
  • Proficiency in pressure relief calculations using API standards
  • Experience in process system design, including hydraulic calculations, P&ID development, and process modeling
  • Strong knowledge of simulation software (e.g., Aspen Suite)
  • Full clean driving license
  • Willingness to travel within the UK and internationally
  • Good IT proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong consultancy, communication, and interpersonal skills

Nice to have

  • Chartered Chemical Engineer status
  • Professional consulting experience or similar relevant experience in advising and delivering technical solutions
  • Operational and design experience, preferably on operating sites
  • Familiarity with TUV proprietary software (PEL & CAPRE)
  • Experience in Energy Transition and Net Zero initiatives (e.g., CCUS, hydrogen, fuel switching)
  • Knowledge of HAZOP, LOPA, and SIL methodologies
  • Experience in designing discharge and disposal systems for chemical plants
