We’re looking for a Senior Privacy Counsel - Trust to join our dynamic and collaborative Privacy team at Atlassian! You will be an individual contributor reporting directly to the Director of Privacy - Trust.

Job Responsibility:

  • Help build Atlassian’s privacy compliance function globally with a “customer first” approach
  • Partner with teams across Atlassian to understand and advise on the impact of emerging privacy laws and regulations, and help prepare strategies to respond to them
  • Collaborate closely with Governance, Risk & Compliance on industry leading certifications, the implementation of risk-based privacy controls, and the creation of privacy policies and standards

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of experience practicing law
  • Necessary qualifications to practice law in your local jurisdiction
  • Knowledge of applicable privacy laws and regulations (e.g. GDPR, CCPA) and industry frameworks (ISO 27701 and SOC2)
  • Experience distilling complex legal and technical concepts into clear language
  • Demonstrated growth mindset and the ability to succeed in a dynamic and remote-friendly workplace spread across the globe
