Job Description:

Do you have a passion for Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and speak SysML? Do you have experience and desire to work on innovative programs and associated pathfinder technologies? Do you want to be part of the Digital Engineering transformation? If so, we are currently seeking a Systems Engineering (SE),with MBSE experience to join our team.

Job Responsibility:

  • Implement approaches for MBSE and Digital Engineering to incrementally advance standard methodologies in Systems Engineering on active developmental programs
  • Develop and implement project plans for product development efforts
  • Work on programs for missile, air, and space defense, and associated pathfinder technologies as part of a dynamic team that develops and modernizes our Nation's most critical weapon systems to ensure strategic deterrence for America

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline and five (5) years of directly relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of directly relevant education and engineering or scientific experience that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform independent research and development.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q-level security clearance and Sigma 15 clearance.

Nice to have:

  • Graduate degree in Engineering or a highly related field where an independent research project was a graduation requirement.
  • Experience working with Nuclear Security Enterprise (NSE) laboratories and plants including Pantex, Kansas City National Security Campus (KCNSC), Lawrence Livermore Laboratory (LLNL) and Kansas City National Security Campus/New Mexico Operations (KCNSC/NMO).
  • Experience working on engineering design, qualification, production, or related modeling/simulation projects.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams
  • An active DOE L-level or higher security clearance (Q) or an active DOD Secret or higher security clearance (TS)
  • Experience with models-based systems engineering tools using the SysML language (e.g. Magic Draw, Rhapsody, Enterprise Architect)
  • Architecture development
  • Experience with systems engineering principles and implementation as well as transitioning an organization into a digital environment
  • Experience working in a R&D environment
  • Experience working in a fast past, constantly changing environment
  • Experience developing and maintaining Interface Control Documents.
  • Experience with Requirements development, capture, tracking, and validation
  • Engineering design (taking an idea from concept through demonstration)
  • Configuration management processes and tools
  • Integrating tools in a Digital Engineering ecosystem
  • Proficiency in written and verbal communication, including verbal presentations to audiences of peers, management, and customers
  • A history of social and business acuity, and comfort communicating through challenging situations
  • The demonstrated ability in one or more areas of aerospace systems design (missiles, flight vehicles, missile defense systems)
