Our Water Group in Victoria has developed many long-term relationships in the water market, a strong pipeline of work, and has grown into a team of 100 water professionals. We have a continues focus on growth over the next five years, and as such, we are seeking a Senior or Principal Process Engineer with specific wastewater process expertise to join our Melbourne team.

Job Responsibility

  • Undertaking options investigations, feasibility studies and reporting on a wide range of complex engineering projects such as water, wastewater, recycled water, resource recovery, biosolids, and odour treatment facilities
  • Leading project delivery and engineering designs for water and wastewater treatment plant projects
  • Applying experience and understanding of treatment projects from concept through to detailed design to ensure successful project delivery
  • Leading project teams, ensuring high quality deliverables and budgets are met in a timely manner
  • Work and coordinate with a multi-disciplinary design team to ensure constructability of the process designs and compatibility with the design intent
  • Engaging in client facing activities to ensure expectations are met and exceeded
  • Building and maintaining client relationships
  • Mentoring and sharing your project experience with junior engineers

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in Chemical or Process Engineering, a minimum of 10 years relevant professional experience in the water and wastewater industry
  • Experience in wastewater treatment process design and modelling would be advantageous
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills to develop and maintain positive relationships with internal and external clients
  • Highly developed consulting skills to liaise with clients and other stakeholders to achieve mutually successful project outcomes
  • A positive and proactive attitude with the ability to get involved and lead others, whilst contributing to a vibrant team
