We are seeking an R&D Laboratory Support Technologist to join our team in conducting advanced research on optical and electrical characterization of semiconductor materials and devices. Job Responsibility:
Collaborate with technical staff to perform optical characterization using photoluminescence and other methods
Conduct electrical characterization of semiconductor devices
Maintain and update safety documentation to ensure compliance with laboratory standards
Develop and refine standard operating procedures for characterization techniques
Support general lab operation tasks (e.g., keeping supplies stocked and maintaining test capabilities)
Analyze data and present findings in reports and at technical meetings
Requirements:
Associates degree in relevant field, or 4 years of equivalent demonstrated experience
Experience with optical characterization techniques, particularly photoluminescence
Experience with electrical characterization methods for semiconductor devices
Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE L clearance
Nice to have:
Experience with laser systems and optical measurement equipment
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining safety standards
Familiarity with on-wafer probe stations and the Keysight B1505A semiconductor parameter analyzer
Experience with optical table configurations and general knowledge of continuous wave (CW) and pulsed laser operations
Experience with semiconductor packaging
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with team members and independently with minimal supervision
Proven capability to organize, prioritize, and follow through to completion on multiple tasks
Proficiency in data analysis software (e.g., MATLAB and Python)
Ability to become certified in pressure system installation and maintenance as well as electrical equipment assessment and certification
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work effectively in a diverse, multi-disciplinary team environment
