Senior Principal Electrical Engineer

• Deliver electrical engineering services in line with customer requirements, applicable statutory and regulatory standards, project timelines, and budget expectations
• Initiate, manage, and where required supervise electrical engineering activities across assigned projects
• Act as electrical engineering lead on specific projects, defining requirements, assigning tasks, and supervising progress
• Participate in project meetings, prepare progress updates, and follow required checking procedures
• Ensure project scope is clearly understood and that changes are managed in line with project change processes
• Provide engineering support during procurement, construction, and commissioning, including preparing requisitions, completing technical bid evaluations, and writing purchase orders
• Proactively resolve technical discrepancies between project requirements and customer expectations
• Communicate effectively with project stakeholders and support junior members of the electrical engineering team where required.

• Extensive relevant experience within electrical engineering
• Experience working in a project leadership role
• Experience estimating project costs and writing proposal content
• Strong technical and practical electrical engineering capability with a consistent record of delivering accurate and timely work
• Sound knowledge of fundamental electrical engineering principles and the basic requirements of other engineering disciplines
• Sound knowledge of applicable local and international standards and statutory and regulatory requirements
• Experience working in multi-disciplinary projects and teams within the same or similar industry
• Competent use of electrical engineering software and relevant office-based software
• BS or MS in a related field or applicable discipline, typically an engineering degree, or equivalent experience where permitted.
