Are you an experienced Ecologist with a background in Botany, looking to take that next step in your career, or a new and exciting challenge? Here at RSK Biocensus part of RSK Group we are recruiting for someone with a strong passion for Botany to join our growing UK ecology team as our new Senior or Principal Consultant.

Job Responsibility

  • Designing and implementing mitigation strategies
  • Financial management of projects
  • Production of tenders and reports
  • Project management, report writing and delivery
  • Managing and mentoring junior members of the team
  • Management and delivery of all elements of botanical field surveys, assessment, tender and report writing and project management
  • Co-ordinating and undertaking a range of Phase 1 habitat and NVC / Phase 2 surveys

Requirements

  • Previous relevant experience in a similar role, ideally in commercial consultancy
  • Holds FISC Level 4 or above (ideally)
  • Appropriate membership of CIEEM (dependent on grade, or eligibility)
  • Full UK driving licence and use of own vehicle
  • Technically competent to undertake full range of Botany surveys
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Enthusiasm, energy and drive to develop skills and deliver projects to highest standard
  • Excellent report writing skills, including survey reports, EcIAs, HRAs and tenders
