Job Description:

A prestigious, charitable architecture firm, known for its commitment to creating inspiring and sustainable designs, is seeking a dedicated Principal Designer to join their team. Your chance to work on some of the biggest and most prestigious projects across the UK!

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide the full scope of Principal Designer services, including compiling pre-construction information, managing design risk assessments, and ensuring CDM compliance
  • Work closely with design teams and clients to develop and implement effective safety and design strategies
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure ongoing compliance with safety standards and regulations
  • Lead CDM workshops and provide training to design teams on best practices in risk management and safety
  • Review and approve construction phase plans, ensuring all safety measures are in place and adhered to throughout the project lifecycle

Requirements:

  • Degree qualified in Architecture, Construction, or Engineering
  • NEBOSH Construction Certificate
  • Membership with IOSH or APS
  • Extensive experience in delivering Principal Designer services within a consultancy or architectural practice
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate with various stakeholders
