Senior Principal Designer

• Ensure compliance with the CDM Regulations 2015 across projects in multiple sectors
• Act as CDM Advisor to clients, supporting them in fulfilling their statutory duties and implementing effective health and safety management systems
• Prepare and submit F10 notifications to the Health and Safety Executive (HSE)
• Attend design team meetings, review designs and strategies, and provide competent advice on health and safety legislation
• Produce and maintain Design Risk Registers
• Collate Pre-Construction Information and prepare summary reports for project teams
• Lead and facilitate design risk management discussions and workshops
• Undertake site visits and inspections, identifying risks and reporting findings to clients
• Work collaboratively with Principal Contractors to promote positive safety culture and compliance
• Review project and client information proactively to identify risk trends
• Prepare clear written reports for clients and wider project teams
• Undertake accident investigations and assist with the development of H&S policies and procedures

• NEBOSH Construction Certificate or NEBOSH General Certificate
• Membership of IOSH
• Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise workloads and lead projects effectively
• Excellent working knowledge of CDM Regulations and wider health and safety legislation
