As a Senior Principal Contract Administrator in the Tactical Solutions contracts department, reporting to a Manager, Contracts, you will assume a hands-on role as an individual contributor. The Contracts Strategic Capabilities Unit delivers the expertise and business acumen to increase value across the enterprise by providing actionable information with recommendations and opportunities to drive sustainable business growth.
Job Responsibility:
Provide active contract negotiation and administration on a variety of programs encompassing all phases of the contract life cycle (pre-proposal through contract closeout)
Collaborate with other employees in the department, cross-functionally and with program personnel, and for establishing effective relationships with key customers
Be the contracting expert in the room when working with program teams
Review contracts and related documents to assess risk to the company and recommend mitigation approaches
Ensure compliance with various federal regulations and BAE Systems policies
Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule
Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company
Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment
Perform other duties as necessary
Requirements:
BS/BA in a related field plus 8 or more years related experience
Experience in a contracts function or equivalent experience in DoW contracting
Sound interpersonal skills involving interfacing, coordinating, and negotiating with company personnel, leadership, and customers
Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to make decisions using sound judgement while complying with policies, procedures, appropriate principles and applicable state and federal laws and regulations
Computer skills to maintain contract records within our business systems as well as demonstrated research and presentation skills
Expert-level hands-on knowledge and experience with the FAR and DFARS

Must be willing and eligible for security clearance submission
Nice to have:
Experience with large, complex RFPs and proposal development
Experience managing various USG and prime contract customers
An active DoW SECRET or TS/SCI clearance and holds or is eligible for a Special Access Program clearance
