Job Description

The Corporate and Commercial Litigation Division is looking for a Senior/Principal Associate with 3 or more years' PQE who will be involved in and/or lead commercial disputes, with a particular focus on public procurement and complex contractual disputes. The successful candidate will be expected to have experience of dealing with both of these types of disputes. The role involves mainly advising public sector clients in sectors including healthcare, local government, emergency services and social housing.

  • involved in and/or lead commercial disputes, with a particular focus on public procurement and complex contractual disputes
  • contribute to, and facilitate collaborative working across the team, with both contentious and non-contentious colleagues
  • build relationships internally and externally and drive forward the development of our commercial litigation practice

Requirements

  • has experience of public procurement disputes and complex commercial disputes
  • has excellent drafting and communication skills
  • has excellent interpersonal skills
  • is confident in managing clients, external counsel and experts
  • will take early responsibility for handling High Court litigation and all forms of Alternative Dispute Resolution
  • is able to prioritise work to meet deadlines, and relishes attention to detail
  • 3 or more years' PQE
  • understanding of the public sector and experience of working on matters involving public sector organisations
