Job Description:

Capsticks has an established team doing defendant clinical negligence work in London on behalf of both NHS Trusts and GPs. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team delivering this work in London and developing existing relationships with health care organisations. The Clinical Law Claims Division comprises around 90 fee earners over three offices (Wimbledon, Leeds and Birmingham). The firm has been a member of NHS Resolution's panel of lawyers since its inception. It is ranked number one in the legal directories for defendant clinical negligence work. Capsticks carries out a wide range of health care work and you will work closely with teams that provide advice covering inquests, regulatory matters, public law issues, judicial reviews, mental health issues and clinical risk management.

Job Responsibility:

  • Managing a caseload of complex and high value claims on instructions from NHS Resolution
  • Working closely with a Partner who will supervise your work
  • Opportunities for client contact and business development

Requirements:

  • Extensive defendant clinical negligence litigation experience
  • Well-versed in understanding the needs of our client base, preferably gained at a NHS Resolution Panel firm
  • Experience of handling and advising on cases involving complex issues and maximum severity injuries
  • Experience of managing claims against GPs is an advantage but not essential
