We are seeking a highly analytical and commercially minded Senior Pricing Analyst to drive pricing strategy and profitability across our automotive aftermarket product portfolio. This role combines advanced analytics, Python-based modelling, and cross-functional collaboration to optimize pricing across thousands of SKUs, multiple customer segments, and sales channels in the AAG EU countries. You will work closely with the local pricing leadership, IT and consultancy partners to support and inform the execution of the pricing strategies across AAG Europe.
Job Responsibility:
Support the local pricing leadership in development and implementation of pricing strategies across a large catalog of automotive parts and accessories
Identify opportunities to optimize pricing structures for multiple customer segments (wholesale, garages, retailers, key accounts)
Work with local pricing teams in the design and monitoring of discount structures, rebates, and promotional pricing
Support key account pricing and contract negotiations with data-driven insights
Support the EU countries in monitoring competitor pricing and market trends across the automotive aftermarket landscape
Collaborate in the benchmarking of pricing across brands, categories, and regions
Leverage data tools (including Python-based scraping where applicable) to enhance market visibility
Analyze large datasets to identify pricing opportunities, risks, and trends
Perform price elasticity and substitution analysis (e.g., OEM vs. aftermarket alternatives)
Conduct scenario modeling to support strategic decision-making and present to local pricing leadership
Analyze customer-level profitability, including discounts, logistics, and returns
Develop and maintain pricing models and optimization tools using Python (pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn)
Support the Data Engineer in building data pipelines integrating ERP systems (e.g., SAP), SQL databases, and external data sources
Enhance pricing processes through scalable, automated solutions for the local pricing teams
Develop and optimize existing dashboards and reports to help Pricing teams track performance and profitability
Monitor KPIs such as margin by SKU/category, price realization, and promotion effectiveness across the EU countries
Translate complex analyses into clear, actionable recommendations for stakeholders and present them to local pricing leadership
Requirements:
Bachelors or masters degree in finance, Economics, Data Science, Engineering, or related field
5+ years of experience in pricing, revenue management, or advanced analytics (preferably in distribution, automotive, or retail)
Strong Python skills (pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn) + Experience with SQL
Experience with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
Solid understanding of pricing strategies, elasticity, and margin optimization
Experience working with large, complex datasets
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to work independently, manage small engagements or parts of large engagements
Team player helping to build a continuous improvement culture
Nice to have:
Experience in automotive aftermarket or multi-SKU distribution environments
Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP)
Knowledge of dynamic pricing or algorithmic pricing approaches
Strong business acumen and stakeholder management skills
