Job Description:

Our senior practitioners play a crucial role in implementing our practice model, and are integral in developing outstanding social work practice across the teams. We are looking for a committed senior practitioner who feels confident in working with children and families, making decisions to support, safeguard and protect children and commitment to learn. The team starts their work with families following the completion of an assessment by our duty teams and remains involved with families until the conclusion of care proceedings.

Job Responsibility:

  • Implementing the practice model
  • Developing outstanding social work practice across teams
  • Holding a small caseload of co-worked cases alongside less qualified social workers
  • Supervision of social workers working with families on CIN and CP plans and those subject to Pre proceedings and care proceedings
  • Deputising for the team manager

Requirements:

  • Social qualification and registration with SWE
  • Experience of working in the field of children protection
  • Some experience supervising staff or students
  • The ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English
  • Right to work in the UK (sponsorship not available)
  • DBS clearance
