As Senior PR Executive, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality, impactful PR activity that strengthens apetito’s reputation across our priority markets. You will need a high degree of autonomy and judgement, and be trusted to lead the delivery of high-profile PR activity under the direction of the PR Manager. Sitting within the central Brand & Communications team, you will work closely with colleagues across the business and external partners to bring our stories to life, ensuring our voice is credible, consistent and values-led. You will also act as a role model within the PR team, helping to maintain high standards and support the development of others. Job Responsibility:
Lead the delivery of integrated PR activity across apetito’s priority B2B markets and policy agenda, ensuring activity is aligned to business objectives, delivered to a high standard, and achieves measurable impact
Play a key role in the day-to-day running of the press office, including drafting and distributing press releases, proactive media engagement, media monitoring and maintaining accurate media lists
Build and maintain strong relationships with key media contacts, industry bodies and influencers. Proactively pitch stories, manage forward feature schedules and secure coverage that enhances reputation and credibility across trade, national and relevant consumer media
Support the PR Manager with corporate and policy-related PR activity, helping to ensure our values, ESG commitments and policy positions are consistently and clearly reflected in external communications
Work closely with colleagues across the business to surface stories, insight and data that bring our purpose to life externally, acting as a trusted PR partner and adviser
Collaborate with Creative and Digital teams to develop compelling content across press, digital and social channels that amplifies key messages and campaigns
Track, analyse and report on PR activity performance, using insight to inform recommendations and continuously improve future activity
Act as a senior member of the PR team, supporting the PR Manager by maintaining quality standards, sharing best practice and informally mentoring colleagues where appropriate
Contribute to wider Brand & Communications activity, including supporting internal and external events, conferences and cross-functional initiatives as required
Requirements:
Proven experience delivering PR activity and campaigns within a press office environment
Strong media relations skills with the confidence to manage relationships independently
Excellent writing skills, with the ability to tailor content for different audiences and channels
Understanding of digital and social media channels, and how they are utilised effectively in a PR context
Experience using insight and data to evaluate PR activity and inform future plans
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
