Design, configure and validate Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) system, that to include component selection such as breakers, fuses and relays for DC and AC circuits, understanding of system architect, site layout, functional safety analyses, auxiliary load estimation and battery sizing/configuration
Selection of Electrical components and associated interface including Batteries, Inverters, Inverter-duty Transformers, BMS, EMS, Low Voltage AC/DC switchgears, ensuring compliance to various IEC, NEC, IEEE, ANZ etc design standards
Designing Power flow arrangement, Single line diagram and control schematic
Perform and review electrical studies as part of system design, including short circuit analysis, protection sizing, protection coordination, Harmonic and arc flash analysis
Requirements:
Bachelor or Master degree in Electrical Engineering (Full Time) or equivalent
5-9 years of proven experience in Electrical Power Systems Design in Renewables (Solar, Wind, Hydro, BESS) Power Generation or related industries
Experience in New product development process and systems engineering, preferably in the Battery Energy Storage industry is plus

Familiarity with industry standards such as NFPA 70, IEC 60364, UL 9540, IEC 62933
Should have experience in designing Power flow arrangement, Single line diagram and control schematic
Able to perform and review electrical studies as part of system design, including short circuit analysis, protection sizing, protection coordination, Harmonic and arc flash analysis
Experience in MATLAB Simulink or EMTP-RV is a plus
Knowledge of industrial control philosophies, and communication protocols
Familiar with DFMEA process and RCA technique
Experience in tools like JAMA, Jira, Test rail is a plus
Possessing strong problem-solving skills, effective communication abilities for collaborative engagement with cross-functional teams and clients, and the capacity to work seamlessly with global teams across diverse backgrounds and time zones
Nice to have:
Experience in New product development process and systems engineering, preferably in the Battery Energy Storage industry is plus
