Job Responsibility

  • Take a lead role in monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting closes
  • Prepare and post journal entries
  • Review and record admittance of new investors
  • Coordinate quarterly and annual reporting requirements, as well as tax requirements
  • Coordinate with cash management group to execute cash transactions (investor subscriptions, investor distributions, invoice payment, quarterly fees)
  • Review property management financial statements
  • Quarterly financial analysis, including review of investment accounting information
  • Calculate, analyze and report performance returns
  • Assist in closing the books and records for the preparation of SEC filings
  • Respond to client inquiries
  • Create efficiency in and effectiveness of the financial reporting process, including effective usage of technology, as well as improve client services
  • Take initiative in identifying problems and providing suggested solutions
  • Take the lead on special projects as assigned

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience
  • Strong knowledge of real estate accounting
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
  • CPA designation is strongly preferred
