Job Description:

Several contract opportunities for experienced senior Policy Officers and Cabinet & Parliamentary Support Officers with government background, exceptional writing skills and sound policy, briefings and ministerial support skills.

Job Responsibility:

Updating of existing policies, reviewing against existing and/or new legislation
Development and writing of new policies
Leading research and analysis to inform policy papers and consultation material
Managing the preparation of internal and ministerial briefings, reports and policy discussion papers
Preparation of parliamentary briefings and cabinet submissions
General administration and/or project support duties

Requirements:

Experience with policy development and legislation within government
An ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams and/or remotely
Sound research and analytical skills to apply judgment and advice on important issues
Extensive stakeholder engagement and ability to provide advice on complex matters to the executive and the minister
Government experience and/or legal background is highly desirable
