Job Description:

Senior Policy Governance Adviser | Federal Government Agency. Location: Melbourne CBD, Hybrid (3 days onsite per week). Contract Length: 12-month initial contract. Pay Rate: $80 - $95 per hour + super (Dependent on experience). About the Opportunity: Randstad is partnering with a prominent Federal Government Agency to recruit a Senior Policy Governance Adviser. This role is based within the Legal Team and is sponsored by the General Counsel. You will join the Policy Governance Framework Uplift project team to design and implement a centralized, fit-for-purpose, and robust framework for the organization.

Job Responsibility:

  • Defining and finalizing project scope and developing workplans with key milestones and deliverables
  • Designing an institutionalized Policy Governance Framework, including standardized policy templates, procedure suites, and associated guidance
  • Establishing clear approval processes for the creation, retirement, and amendment of policies, including ownership and oversight accountabilities
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to review, synthesize, and simplify the existing policy landscape for alignment with the new Framework
  • Developing and delivering training and communications to rollout and embed the Framework into 'business as usual' (BAU)
  • Monitoring project progress and providing reports to stakeholders to seek approval for new policies

Requirements:

  • Proven experience developing and implementing Policy Governance Frameworks and uplifting entity-wide policy landscapes
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information into simple, easy-to-understand formats
  • Demonstrated ability to work in partnership with others, harness stakeholder support, and foster collaboration
  • Highly organized with strong time management skills and a methodical, detail-oriented approach to meeting deadlines
  • Formal tertiary qualifications in Law, Business, or Commerce
  • Experience within the Investment Management, Financial Services, Superannuation, Big 4, or Federal Government sectors is highly preferred
