Job Description:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Platform Reliability Engineer to support critical applications within the Wealth and Investment Management Technology organization. This role plays a key part in ensuring the stability, recoverability, and performance of high-volume, high-priority trading platforms.

Job Responsibility:

Serve as the first line of triage for application issues
Partner with development teams to support deployments and internalize vendor applications
Monitor and maintain the health of trading platforms
Collaborate with business and technology teams to understand application impact
Contribute to platform improvements by identifying recurring issues
Participate in on-call rotations and incident response
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members
Lead or participate in high level technical concepts
Develop specifications for complex infrastructure systems
Contribute to testing of business, application and technical infrastructure requirements
Drive solutions to reduce recovery
Review and analyze solutions for cloud security, secrets management and key rotations
Design, code, test, debug and document programs using Agile development practices
Design complex system upgrades
Resolve troublesome trends as they develop
Develop a long range plan designed to resolve problems and prevent them from recurring
Direct the daily risk and control flow of operations
Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals

Requirements:

4+ years of Technology Infrastructure Engineering and Solutions experience
4+ years of experience with Splunk or other logging/monitoring tools
4+ years of experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
4+ years of experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration
4+ years of experience with databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, or MongoDB

Nice to have:

Experience with .NET applications
Background in financial services or trading environments
Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work effectively under pressure
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Familiarity with platform engineering concepts and operational best practices
