Job Description

Airbnb was born in 2007 when two hosts welcomed three guests to their San Francisco home, and has since grown to over 5 million hosts who have welcomed over 2 billion guest arrivals in almost every country across the globe. Every day, hosts offer unique stays and experiences that make it possible for guests to connect with communities in a more authentic way. The Community You Will Join: At Airbnb, our top priority is to create safe and trusted experiences for our Hosts and guests, and ensure everyone in our global community can belong on Airbnb. The Anti-Discrimination & Equity team is a core part of that mission–focused on identifying and mitigating potential experience gaps and advancing best practices in inclusive design across Product, Design, Machine Learning, and AI. As a Platform Product Manager for Anti-Discrimination & Equity, you will shape the systems and capabilities that enable success for all Airbnb users. You will design scalable, intelligent solutions that balance operational efficiency with equitable user experience. In this role, you’ll partner closely with engineering, data science, and operations teams to deliver platform products, including cutting-edge AI/ML-powered solutions, innovative data tools, automated governance and risk assessment technologies, and adaptive solutions that evolve with new risks and advance new opportunities . Your work will directly strengthen the trust and integrity that make Airbnb a place where anyone can belong. The Difference You Will Make: As a Platform Product Manager on the Defense Platform, you will define the vision, strategy, and execution for products that power safety and integrity across Airbnb. You will partner with engineers, data scientists, designers, and operations experts to build intelligent, scalable platform solutions that identify emerging risks, prevent bad actors, and reduce friction for trusted users. Your work will ensure our defenses are adaptive, automated, and seamlessly integrated across the Airbnb ecosystem.

  • Leverage data-driven experimentation and measurement frameworks to continuously improve scaled platform products and decision systems
  • Collaborate closely with teams across Tech, Global Operations, Policy, Product, Legal, Reputation, and Shared Services to ensure alignment, manage dependencies, and streamline execution

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence across diverse technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills with a strong bias toward data-informed decision-making
  • Experience driving hypothesis-based product development and iterative learning
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
