We're looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to join our team. The mission of this role is to bridge the technical gap between development needs and a secure, scalable infrastructure while addressing current bottlenecks in execution capacity, code reviews, and approvals. With a product-focused mindset, you'll be responsible for developing and maintaining the underlying hardware and software layer that our engineers and scientists use daily, prioritizing collaboration and a deep understanding of production systems. As the company continues to grow, expanding the platform team is crucial to speed up our development processes, allowing all the teams to focus on their core tasks.
Job Responsibility:
Help define the team's vision and goals, actively planning the direction of the infrastructure team in collaboration with the CTO
Contribute execution and review capacity by writing code, performing design doc and code reviews, and significantly contributing to the execution of our platform projects
Develop internal products for all the teams to enable them to work autonomously
Drive architectural evolution by identifying and solving critical challenges to improve system performance and scalability
Support every team, helping to address their infrastructure needs and improve their productivity
Requirements:
Large-scale production systems: Proven track record of managing and maintaining high-traffic, mission-critical production systems, identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks to ensure stability and reliability
Cloud architecture and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) knowledge: Deep proficiency in Kubernetes, AWS, and Terraform
Security-first mindset: Strong understanding of security best practices, with experience in penetration testing, credential management, and threat modeling
CI/CD expertise: Solid grasp of Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery principles and the ability to implement CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions
Problem-solving ability: A proactive approach to autonomous problem-solving, with a strong sense of ownership for code in production
Deep knowledge of engineering and infrastructure: Comprehensive understanding of software engineering principles and the ability to design and maintain scalable infrastructure solutions
Nice to have:
Programming language knowledge: Experience with Golang, Java, or Python
Rigorous code review practices: The ability to perform thorough code reviews, ensuring quality, maintainability, and security
Experience in a product or startup company: Previous experience in a product company or startup environment
