Job Description:

Randstad is proud to be partnering with a local government client to recruit an experienced Senior Planner to join their Planning Assessment team. In this key role, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating development appeals, while providing high-level planning advice to a range of internal and external stakeholders. This is an exciting opportunity offered as an initial six-month contract.

Job Responsibility:

Coordinate development applications and provide expert advice on complex development assessment appeals, leveraging your deep understanding of Queensland legislation
Utilise strong communication, negotiation, and influencing skills to achieve positive outcomes and deliver excellent customer service
Produce clear and concise written communication (correspondence, reports, procedures)

Requirements:

Tertiary qualification on Town Planning or similar
Demonstrated high-level verbal communication, negotiation and influencing skills, with a strong record of providing sound advice to both internal and external stakeholders
Proven ability to deliver excellent customer service when managing complex and sensitive matters
Proven experience in development assessment, supported by a comprehensive understanding of Queensland’s planning legislation and regulatory framework
Strong organisational and time management skills, with a consistent ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Well-developed written communication skills, including the ability to draft clear and concise correspondence, reports, and procedural documents
