Job Description:

We are seeking a Senior Plaintiff Litigation Paralegal to assist our team with a variety of litigation tasks. The ideal candidate will have 8-10+ years of experience in plaintiff personal injury litigation, with strong knowledge of filing, preparing pleadings and motions, and answering discovery, including interrogatories. This is a great opportunity for an experienced paralegal looking for a challenging and rewarding role in South Jersey. Join a well-established, respected law firm specializing in plaintiff-side litigation, including mass torts, personal injury, and premises liability cases on behalf of unions. This role will support the senior plaintiff litigation attorney in managing active litigation cases and moving them efficiently through the litigation process.

Job Responsibility:

  • Filing: Managing the filing of legal documents in courts and ensuring compliance with filing deadlines
  • Preparing Pleadings and Motions: Drafting, reviewing, and finalizing pleadings and motions for submission in court
  • Answering Discovery (Interrogatories): Responding to and assisting with the preparation of discovery responses, including answering interrogatories
  • Ensure legal documents are filed in courts in a timely and compliant manner
  • Aid in the preparation and response to discovery requests, specifically interrogatories
  • Draft, scrutinize, and finalize pleadings and motions to be submitted in court
  • Participate in the preparation for trials
  • Contribute to the management of plaintiff personal injury litigation
  • Work in tandem with the team to manage mass tort and premises liability cases
  • Utilize case management software and Microsoft Office to maintain organization and efficiency
  • Exercise strong communication skills in written and verbal interactions
  • Demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Work independently, as well as part of a team, to ensure the efficient running of operations.

Requirements:

  • 8-10+ years of experience as a litigation paralegal, specifically in plaintiff-side personal injury, mass tort, or premises liability law
  • Experience working in Pennsylvania is required
  • knowledge of New Jersey and New York law is a plus
  • Must have hands-on experience with filing, preparing pleadings and motions, and answering discovery requests (interrogatories)
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in case management software and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven experience as a Litigation Paralegal, preferably in a senior role and experience in Personal Injury Plaintiffs' cases
  • Proficiency in e-Filing systems, ensuring efficient and timely submission of necessary documents
  • Demonstrated ability in managing Discovery processes, including document collection, organization, and review
  • Experience in drafting and filing Motions in accordance with legal standards and procedures
  • Skilled in formulating and responding to Interrogatories, demonstrating excellent written communication and attention to detail
  • Proven ability in preparing Pleadings, ensuring they are accurate, well-researched, and comprehensive
  • Solid experience in Trial Preparation, including compiling trial notebooks, coordinating exhibits, and assisting attorneys as required.
